Once there was a little girl who was in preschool. Her name was Emily. Emily's class brought in snacks. One day it was Emily's turn to bring a snack. Emily didn't know what to bring in. She said, "Mommy! Mommy! What should I bring in?"

"I don't know, sweetie. How about some cheese and crackers?" her mom said.

"Okay," said Emily. She wanted to bring in something more surprising than cheese and crackers. But Emily brought it anyway.

When it was time for snacks, kids in her class said, "Cheese and crackers? What a weird snack!" and they started to laugh at her.

Emily felt tears in her eyes. She blinked them back. When she got home, Emily started to cry. "What's the matter?" her mom asked.

"Kids in my class laughed at me for bringing in cheese and crackers for a snack," Emily sobbed. That night, Emily had a dream that she brought in the best snack of all. A cake!

That was the best snack of all!
